The Extech 380942 is a compact True RMS mini clamp meter designed to measure low AC and DC currents (up to 30 A) with high resolution, making it ideal for diagnostic work in tight spaces, electronics, HVAC, telecom, and plant maintenance.
Description
Despite its small size, the 380942 delivers precise current measurements with a jaw opening of about 0.9″ (23 mm). Its standout capability is measuring very low currents: AC currents down to 0.1 mA resolution and DC currents down to 1 mA resolution. For higher ranges, it supports up to 30 A. Beyond current, it functions like a full DMM: it measures AC/DC voltage up to 400 V, includes a fast 40-segment bargraph for trend tracking, and offers features such as auto-zero for DC measurements, data hold, and auto power off. The meter is CAT III-300 V rated, has a 4000-count LCD display, and ships with test leads, batteries, and a carrying pouch.
