Description
The 401014A is designed for easy readability and practical monitoring of ambient conditions both inside and out. It uses a built‑in indoor sensor and a remote, weather‑resistant outdoor probe with about 9.6 ft (3 m) of cable, allowing placement outside or in a cool space while the main unit stays inside. The display supports simultaneous indoor and outdoor readings in large digits (approximately 25 mm high) so you can check both at a glance. You can switch between °C and °F. The unit retains minimum and maximum values (memory) so you can track peaks over time. The user can set an audible alarm for the outdoor temperature when it goes above or below chosen thresholds—useful for notification of extreme conditions. The external probe is splash‑proof so you can mount it outdoors or in an area such as a greenhouse, refrigerator, freezer or temperature‑sensitive environment. The unit includes a built‑in stand for desktop placement, a wall‑mount bracket, and ships with a AAA (or AAA‑size) battery; installation is straightforward. The accuracy is roughly ±1 °C (±1.8 °F) in much of the range, with resolution of 0.1° for both °C and °F.
