The Extech 407730 is a general-purpose, handheld sound level meter designed to measure and display sound pressure levels in dB. It supports selectable frequency weightings (A or C) and response times (Fast or Slow), and includes features such as Max Hold and Max/Min recording.
It covers a measuring range from 40 dB up to 130 dB (for A-weighting) and slightly adjusted for C-weighting (45 dB to 130 dB) under its normal operating bandwidth.
The unit includes a large digital LCD with a bar-graph for visual feedback, and supports auto-ranging (with manual override) and a tripod mount for more stable measurements.
