The 461750 is a compact pocket-sized contact tachometer designed for measuring shaft speeds directly by contact and also converting to surface speed via supplied wheels, offering a versatile solution for maintenance, production and mobile speed-checking tasks.
Description
This meter is built for simplicity and portability: the user places the sensor tip against a rotating shaft (or applies the supplied surface-speed wheels to a moving surface) and reads off the speed via the large-count LCD display. It supports both rotational speed (RPM) and linear surface-speed readings (e.g., ft/min, m/min, yd/min) thanks to the accessory wheels. The instrument features autoranging, a large 99,999-count display, and a “Hold” button that freezes values for easier readout. Housed in a rugged, pocket-sized ergonomically designed case with a protective finger-guard, it runs on a 9 V battery and comes ready with the wheels included. With rotational speed capability up to 20,000 rpm and surface speeds up to ~6,560 ft/min (≈1,999.9 m/min), it handles a wide range of maintenance and inspection scenarios.
