Description

This kit pairs a dual-range sound level meter with a built-in calibrator and accessories, offering a field-ready solution for sound measurement. The meter covers both a “Low” range (~35 dB to ~100 dB) and a “High” range (~65 dB to ~130 dB) so it can be used in quieter indoor environments as well as louder industrial/plant settings. It meets ANSI/IEC Type 2 accuracy standards, supports selectable “A” and “C” frequency weightings, and lets the user choose Fast or Slow time-response settings. The unit features a back-lit LCD display for readability in low light along with a bar-graph read-out and provides Data-Hold and Max-Hold functions to freeze or capture peak readings. Included in the kit is a calibrator (typically producing a 1 kHz reference tone at ~94 dB) for verifying the meter’s performance in the field without needing to return the instrument for calibration. The carry-case holds the meter, calibrator, windscreen, calibration screwdriver, battery and other accessories, making it convenient for transport and field use. Applications include community noise monitoring, workplace hearing-conservation surveys, machine-noise diagnostics and general acoustic compliance checks.
