Extech 461920 Mini Laser Photo Tachometer Counter
The Extech 461920 is a handheld, non-contact laser tachometer and revolution counter designed to measure rotating objects safely and accurately—from low speeds to high RPMs—with a built-in laser pointer and memory functions.
Description
This instrument allows the user to perform non-contact RPM measurements by applying a small reflective tape to the rotating object and then pointing the integrated laser at that tape. The device is capable of measuring rotational speeds from as low as 2 RPM up to 99,999 RPM with a basic accuracy of ±0.05% of reading plus one digit. It also includes a counter mode to record up to 99,999 revolutions. The large five-digit LCD display provides clear readings, and there is a memory button to hold the last reading, and recall minimum and maximum values. The housing is rugged with double-moulded grip in a compact size (~160 × 60 × 42 mm) and lightweight (~151 g) form. Included in the box are a 9 V battery and strips of reflective tape, so the unit is ready for field use. The maximum target distance for measurement is about 500 mm (≈1.6 ft). Operated correctly, the tachometer is suitable for maintenance, production, automotive, fan/pump monitoring and other applications where rotational speed or counts are required.
