The Extech 475055 High Capacity Force Gauge is engineered to provide precise force measurements in both tension and compression modes. It features a load cell transducer with a basic accuracy of ±(0.5% of reading + 2 digits), ensuring reliable results across its measurement range. The gauge offers multiple units of measurement, including pounds, kilograms, and newtons, with resolutions down to 0.05 lbs, 0.05 kg, or 0.2 N.

For enhanced usability, the device includes peak hold and zero functions, allowing users to capture maximum force values and reset the display as needed. The large LCD screen is backlit and supports both positive and reverse display orientations, facilitating easy reading in various lighting conditions.

Equipped with an RS-232 PC interface, the 475055 enables seamless data transfer to a computer for further analysis and record-keeping. The device operates on six AA 1.5V batteries and comes complete with tension and compression adaptors, a carrying case, and an optional NIST calibration certificate for traceable accuracy.
