The Extech AN250W is a compact, Bluetooth-enabled anemometer designed to measure air velocity and ambient temperature simultaneously. It’s ideal for HVAC testing, airflow checking, and environmental diagnostics, offering wireless data viewing, recording, and reporting via a mobile app.
Description
The AN250W is engineered for field use by building, HVAC, maintenance, and environmental professionals needing quick, accurate airflow and temperature assessments. At the top, it uses a precision vane sensor to detect air velocity across multiple units (ft/min, m/s, km/h, mph, knots). Beneath that, a temperature sensor measures ambient air temperature over a typical climate range. The instrument displays both velocity and temperature values on a clear dual-line LCD with backlighting for readability in low-light conditions.
With Bluetooth connectivity, the AN250W pairs with a mobile app (ExView) to transmit live data, set alarms, record trends, generate reports, and export results. You can also freeze display values, view minimum/maximum/average readings, and mount it on a tripod using a standard ¼-20 screw. It is powered by three AAA batteries, and supports an auto power-off feature to conserve energy. Lightweight and handy, the device is suited for on-site inspections and audits.
