Extech AN340 Anemometer
The Extech AN340 is a multi-function anemometer and psychrometer that measures air velocity, airflow volume (CMM/CFM), temperature, humidity, wet bulb, and dew point. It also functions as a data logger, storing thousands of readings for further analysis.
Description
The AN340 is designed for HVAC, environmental, and duct/ventilation inspection work where both airflow and atmospheric parameters are needed. It features a telescoping 18 mm vane sensor probe that extends from about 0.3 m up to 1 m, allowing it to reach into ducts, vents, and tight spaces. The meter reads air velocity in several units (such as ft/min and m/s) and also computes volume flow (CMM/CFM) based on cross-sectional area input. In addition, it measures ambient temperature, relative humidity, wet bulb, and dew point.
As a data logger, it can store up to 12,000 readings, each timestamped with date and time. Users can also manually store and recall up to 99 key measurements on the device. The logging interval is user selectable from 1 second up to 4 hours, giving flexibility in capturing trends over time. Additional features include MIN / MAX / Average tagging, Data Hold, and auto power-off (which can be disabled). The unit includes a PC interface and software for transferring and analyzing logged data. It is supplied with a vane probe, USB cable, software, batteries, and a hard carry case.
