Description
The Extech CO240 is engineered to provide comprehensive indoor air quality measurements. It employs a maintenance-free NDIR (non-dispersive infrared) sensor to accurately measure CO₂ concentrations up to 9,999 ppm. In addition to CO₂, the device measures air temperature and relative humidity, and calculates dew point and wet bulb temperatures, offering a complete profile of indoor environmental conditions.
The device features a dual-display LCD that simultaneously shows CO₂ levels and either temperature, humidity, dew point, or wet bulb readings. Users can set high CO₂ alarm thresholds, with both audible and visual alerts when levels exceed the set point. The CO240 also includes a memory function to recall minimum and maximum CO₂ readings, aiding in trend analysis.
For data logging, the CO240 comes equipped with a USB interface and accompanying software, allowing for real-time data streaming to a PC. This feature is particularly useful for monitoring air quality over extended periods. The device also supports automatic baseline calibration, ensuring long-term accuracy without the need for manual adjustments.
Powered by six AAA batteries or an AC adapter, the CO240 is designed for portability and ease of use. Its compact form factor and user-friendly interface make it suitable for both field and laboratory applications.
