Description
The Extech CO260 is engineered to provide accurate and real-time measurements of multiple indoor air quality parameters. Utilizing a maintenance-free non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) sensor for CO₂ detection and an electrochemical sensor for CO measurement, it ensures reliable performance over time. The device features a dual-line backlit LCD display that simultaneously shows CO₂ and CO levels, along with either temperature, humidity, dew point, or wet bulb readings.
Users can set high CO alarm thresholds, with both audible and visual alerts when levels exceed the preset limits. The CO260 also calculates statistical weighted averages, including the 8-hour time-weighted average (TWA) and 15-minute short-term exposure limit (STEL), to assess exposure risks over time. It offers data logging capabilities, allowing users to manually store up to 99 readings or continuously log up to 32,000 readings with the included software and USB interface for data transfer to a PC.
Designed for portability and ease of use, the CO260 operates on four AA batteries or an optional AC adapter. Its compact form factor and user-friendly interface make it suitable for both field and laboratory applications, ensuring comprehensive monitoring of indoor air quality.
