Description
The HD500 integrates multiple measurement modes into a single rugged instrument. Its internal humidity sensor and thermistor measure ambient conditions (RH and air temperature), from which it calculates dew point and wet bulb values. It also provides a Type K thermocouple input—so users can plug in a temperature probe for direct contact measurements—while an internal infrared sensor allows non-contact surface temperature readings. A laser pointer helps with accurate targeting of IR measurements. The instrument sports a large triple-backlit LCD display to present multiple readings at once, and it offers features like Data Hold, Min/Max recording, auto power-off, and USB connectivity for data export. The HD500 comes supplied with a Type K bead wire probe, USB cable with software, carrying case, and a 9 V battery, and it’s backed by a 3-year warranty.
