Extech PQ34-30 3000A Current Flexible Clamp Probes

The PQ34-30 flexible current clamp probes are built to meet the demands of measuring high-current conductors in industrial power systems. Each probe features a 600 mm (24-inch) flexible loop that can wrap around large busbars or bundled cables (round up to 177 mm or oval up to 216 mm), making it ideal for congested panels or switchgear rooms. The unit supports three selectable measurement ranges — 30 A, 300 A and 3,000 A AC — to maximise sensitivity and accuracy across a wide span of current. Output sensitivities are 100 mV/A for the 30 A range, 10 mV/A for the 300 A range and 1 mV/A for the 3,000 A range. The probes connect to compatible power-analyser instruments and supply their signal via standard output plugs, and the probes draw power from the host meter. They support frequencies from 45 Hz to 400 Hz, with phase error under 1° at 50/60 Hz, linearity better than ±0.2% from 10% to 100% of range, and an overall accuracy of ±1% full-scale (at 23 °C ±5 °C). Safety-wise they are rated for installation category CAT III up to 600 V, suitable for industrial measurement environments. In essence, the PQ34-30 offers a flexible, high-capacity clamping solution for accurate high-current measurement and logging in power-analysis tasks.
