Extech RH101 Hygro-Thermometer + Infrared Thermometer
The Extech RH101 is a combination hygrometer and non-contact infrared thermometer. It measures relative humidity, ambient air temperature (via probe), and surface temperature (via IR) all in one handheld unit. With a dual backlit LCD display, selectable primary display (IR or humidity), laser targeting, and built-in functions like Data Hold and MAX, it’s a versatile tool for HVAC, building inspection, and environmental monitoring.
Description
The RH101 merges environmental and surface temperature sensing into a single instrument. It features a humidity sensor and air temperature probe that continuously monitor ambient conditions, while an infrared sensor simultaneously measures surface (object) temperature without contact. Users can choose whether the primary LCD reading shows humidity or IR temperature; the secondary display always shows ambient temperature. The IR sensor includes a laser pointer and offers an 8:1 distance-to-target ratio for aiming. The unit supports °C/°F switching, and provides Data Hold and MAX functions to capture extreme values. It includes a remote humidity/temperature probe mounted on a coiled cable, a protective holster, a built-in stand, and it is powered by a 9V battery. The meter also has automatic power-off to conserve battery life.
