Extech RH550 Humidity/Temperature Chart Recorder with Touch Screen
The Extech RH550 is a touchscreen-based chart recorder that simultaneously monitors and logs relative humidity, air temperature, and calculated dew point. It features a large 7″ color TFT display for both numeric and graphical views, user-programmable sampling intervals, high/low alarms, and a detachable field-replaceable probe (with optional extension cable). It’s suitable for environments like labs, clean rooms, greenhouses, food storage, and HVAC monitoring.
Description
The RH550 is designed to provide real-time environmental monitoring with rich visualization and flexible data capture. The device sports a high-resolution 7″ color touchscreen (1024×600) that allows users to zoom on the graphs, swipe for screen captures, and navigate settings via touch. In Live Mode, it displays current humidity, temperature, and dew point both numerically and graphically, along with time and date. For logging, users can set a start schedule and sample rate from 1 second up to 24 hours. The unit holds a large internal memory (e.g. 16 GB) capable of storing tens of thousands of data points in CSV format, which can then be downloaded to a PC via USB.
The RH550 uses a field-replaceable temperature/humidity probe. The probe can be clipped directly on the recorder or placed on a ~2 m (6.5 ft) extension cable to reach into enclosures or cramped spaces. It supports multiple connected probes (up to three extension cables). For placement flexibility, it includes a built-in stand for desktop use and a wall-mount bracket. The device runs on a rechargeable Li-polymer battery with included AC adapter and is backed by a 2-year warranty.
Alarm capabilities let you set high and low thresholds for humidity, temperature, or dew point, with visual and audible indicators. The history mode lets you view recordings by date, value ranges, or alarm events. You can also recall Min/Max values for all measured parameters.
