Extech SD700 Barometric Pressure/Humidity/Temperature Data Logger
The Extech SD700 is a handheld datalogger that monitors and records barometric pressure, relative humidity, and air temperature over time. It features a triple LCD display to show all three parameters simultaneously, stores data with timestamps on an SD card in Excel-compatible format, and supports adjustable logging intervals. With both battery and AC power options, it’s well suited for environmental monitoring in labs, storage areas, and controlled spaces.
Description
The SD700 is built to provide comprehensive environmental data logging in a compact form. It contains integrated sensors that measure barometric pressure, relative humidity, and air temperature. These readings are continuously displayed on a triple-segment LCD so you can see all values at once—no cycling through menus needed. Users can configure the data sampling interval (from 5 seconds up to 600 seconds) to balance detail versus storage usage. The unit writes each reading with a date/time stamp to an inserted SD memory card in Excel-friendly format, enabling straightforward data transfer to a PC for analysis. The SD700 can run on six AAA batteries or via an AC adapter, and comes with mounting hardware for fixed installations. It includes features such as low-battery indication, multiple units for pressure display (hPa, mmHg, inHg), and tilt stand orientation.
Features
- Triple simultaneous display — shows barometric pressure, temperature, and relative humidity side by side.
- Multiple pressure units — supports hPa, mmHg, and inHg for pressure readings.
- Data logging to SD card — stores timestamped readings in Excel-compatible format.
- Selectable sampling intervals — options including 5, 10, 30, 60, 120, 300, and 600 seconds.
- Wide measurement ranges — pressure from ~10 to 1100 hPa, humidity from ~10% to 90% RH, temperature from 0–50 °C (32–122 °F).
- Resolution & accuracy — e.g. pressure resolution 0.1 hPa, humidity accuracy ±(4% of reading + 1%), temperature accuracy ~±0.8 °C.
- Power flexibility — runs on six AAA batteries or via AC adapter.
- Mounting and portability — includes mounting bracket, tilt stand, and handheld use.
- Low battery alert & data protection — warns when battery is low; ensure safe shutdown before removing SD card.
