Extech SL130W Sound Level Alert with Alarm

The SL130W is engineered for fixed-location sound monitoring where continuous oversight is required — for example in industrial workplaces, classrooms, auditoriums or hospital zones. It features a built-in electret condenser microphone and offers selectable sound ranges (such as 30-80 dB, 60-110 dB or 80-130 dB) to match different environments. The user sets either a high limit or a low limit threshold (between 30 dB and 130 dB). When the measured sound level exceeds the high threshold (or falls below the low threshold, depending on configuration), the device triggers its alarm indicator: a bright red LED flashes (or green LED lights) to signal that the situation needs attention. The LED indicators are mounted so that they are visible from up to approximately 30 metres (100 feet), making them effective visual cues across large spaces. The SL130W supports wall-mount, desk-mount or tripod-mount installation, and offers an extension microphone cable option (≈5 m) for remote sensing. It complies with ANSI Type 2 and EN 60651 accuracy standards and includes an AC adapter for full functionality (and optionally battery operation for basic monitoring). With its large back-lit display, bar-graph read-out, and alarm relay output (via 3.5 mm jack) to drive external devices, the SL130W provides a strong solution where constant noise-level surveillance and instant visual alerting are required.
