Description

The SL510 is engineered for professionals who require reliable sound level measurement in a portable pack-friendly format. It offers a sound measurement range from 35 to 130 dB, with resolution down to 0.1 dB, and boasts ±1 dB accuracy to meet Class 2 standards under IEC/ANSI guidelines. Users can switch between A-weighting (which mimics human hearing response) and C-weighting (which captures more of low-frequency content), and choose either Fast (125 ms) or Slow (1 s) response settings depending on the nature of the sound event being measured. Its bright back-lit LCD screen keeps readings visible even in low light, and it includes useful features like Data-Hold (to freeze the display), Min/Max tracking (to log peaks and valleys) and auto-power-off (which can be disabled when continuous monitoring is needed). Physically it is very slim and lightweight — easily handheld or carried — and includes a wrist strap for convenience. A tripod mount on the base allows for fixed installations when required. It’s supplied ready to use, with three AAA batteries and a microphone windscreen. In summary, the SL510 blends professional-class measurement accuracy with portability, making it well-suited for tasks such as workplace noise surveys, environmental sound measurements, HVAC/ventilation troubleshooting and general sound level monitoring.

Features

  • Full measurement range from 35 to 130 dB with resolution of 0.1 dB, covering a wide spread of sound-levels from quiet rooms to loud environments.

  • High accuracy: ±1 dB at 1 kHz meeting Class 2 standards (IEC 61672-2013 and ANSI/ASA S1.4/Part 1) for trusted results.

  • Selectable A-weighting and C-weighting filters to adapt to human-perception sound measurement or full frequency spectrum respectively.

  • Fast (125 ms) and Slow (1 s) response times for capturing transient noise events or steady-state levels.

  • Back-lit LCD display enables visibility in dim or poorly-lit environments for field convenience.

  • Min/Max functions and Data-Hold feature allow capturing and freezing maximum and minimum values during measurement sessions.

  • Compact, lightweight form factor (approx. 167 × 45 × 20 mm / 6.6 × 1.8× 1.2″; around 160 g / 5.6 oz) making it highly portable and tool-belt friendly.
