The Extech TM20 is a compact, rugged temperature indicator with a built‑in standard probe and long cable, designed for monitoring temperature in air, liquids or semi‑solids. With its waterproof housing, audible/visual alarms and user‑set high/low limits, it’s ideal for storage, shipping, warehouse, lab or industrial ambient‑temperature vigilance.
Description
The TM20 features a 20 mm ( ≈ 0.78″ ) stainless steel probe mounted on a long cable (≈ 2.9 m / 9.6 ft) that lets you locate the sensing tip in the environment being monitored while keeping the indicator module accessible. It covers a temperature range from approximately –40 °C to +70 °C (–40 °F to 158 °F) for the probe and environment. The housing is rated IP65 (dust‑tight and splash resistant) for durability in demanding conditions. The unit supports user programmable high and low alarm set‑points; when temperature goes out of that range the device triggers a visual icon and an audible beep. Other features include MIN and MAX memory capture, data‑hold function, switchable °C/°F, low battery indicator, large clear LCD and flexible mounting: magnetic back for metal surfaces, built‑in foot‑stand for benchtop, and wall‑mount option. The TM20 is powered by a single 3 V CR2032 button battery, making it simple to deploy. The compact size (approx. 86 × 57 × 30 mm) and light weight (~90 g) make it easy to install in tight spaces. This makes the instrument well suited for monitoring ambient conditions in warehouses, freezers/refrigerators, shipping containers, labs, or general facility‑equipment zones where you need a durable, visible temperature indicator rather than a full data‑logger.
