The Fluke 789 ProcessMeter™ is the ultimate tool for process and instrumentation troubleshooting. It merges the power of a CAT III 1000 V / CAT IV 600 V rated digital multimeter with a robust mA loop calibrator, enabling technicians to measure, source, and simulate 4–20 mA signals with ease. Its large dual display with backlighting allows simultaneous viewing of mA and percentage of span for faster diagnostics, while the built-in selectable 250-ohm HART® resistor eliminates the need to carry a separate resistor.
With the built-in 24 V loop supply, offline transmitter testing becomes simple and portable. The device supports SpanCheck and 0/100% toggles, allowing rapid switching between 4 mA and 20 mA for precise calibration and troubleshooting. Optional Fluke Connect™ wireless logging enables remote monitoring and data recording using the IR3000FC module.
The 789 offers complete DMM functionality including true-RMS voltage, AC/DC current, resistance up to 40 MΩ, diode test, continuity beeper, and frequency measurements to 20 kHz. With high accuracy—0.1% DC voltage and 0.05% DC current—it ensures reliable readings for every control loop task. Compact and rugged, it withstands industrial environments with 1-meter drop protection, shock and vibration resistance, and long-lasting battery operation.
