Hioki VT1005 AC/DC High Voltage Divider

The VT1005 is a high-performance AC/DC voltage divider designed to enable accurate measurement of high voltages using standard power analyzers or similar instruments. It accepts input voltages up to 5000 V RMS (and ±7100 V peak), which are scaled down by a factor of 1000:1 so that the analyzer only sees a much lower voltage. It covers a broad frequency range, from DC up to 4 MHz (-3 dB point), with especially flat amplitude response up to ~200 kHz and tight phase accuracy up to ~500 kHz. The device is built with differential input wiring to resist common-mode noise, with a high common-mode rejection ratio. It meets safety and environmental operating requirements for temperature and humidity; it’s reasonably compact and comes with insulated connection cords and adapters to link to analyzers. The high accuracy (both amplitude and phase) makes it suitable for measuring the efficiency of inverters and other devices where switching frequencies, harmonics, or fast transitions matter, as well as for evaluating losses in high-voltage components.
