Hioki FT6031-50 Earth Tester

The FT6031-50 is built for field use where reliability and durability matter. It can measure earth resistance in a wide range (0 Ω up to 2,000 Ω) using either a two-electrode or three-electrode method. Before taking readings, it conducts automatic pre-checks: it verifies ground potential and checks auxiliary electrode connections, warning users of cable breaks or unsafe ground voltages.

Its design is robust: the housing is sealed for dust and water ingress (IP67), and it’s drop-resistant from 1 meter. It includes built-in cable winders for faster retraction of test leads, reducing post-measurement cleanup time. Measurement is simplified: press a single button and the unit auto-ranges internally—no manual range changes are needed.

The FT6031-50 can work with the optional wireless adapter so that measurements can be sent via Bluetooth to a mobile app, allowing report creation, field notes, and remote monitoring. Its operating voltage, safety ratings, and noise resistance are tuned to maintain stable operation even in environments with stray voltages or interference.
