Hioki IR4017 Analog MΩ HiTester

The IR4017 is designed with simplicity and durability in mind for insulation testing in electrical diagnostics and maintenance. It applies a constant 500 V DC test voltage to evaluate insulation resistance up to 1000 MΩ. The analog needle gives intuitive feedback on leakage levels, making it easy to spot trends or anomalies. A bright LED backlight ensures the scale remains readable in low-light environments, while built-in indicators warn the user if the circuit under test is still live or if the battery level is low.

Because it’s meant for field conditions, the IR4017 is ruggedly constructed to withstand being dropped from 1 meter onto concrete. Its body includes a hard case design that allows test leads to be stored without removal. The measurement switch is ergonomically designed so you can press to take a single reading or lift for continuous measurement. After each test, any residual charge is automatically discharged to protect circuits and ensure safety.
