Hioki IR4018 Analog MΩ HiTester

The IR4018 is designed for field insulation testing where a robust, accessible analog readout is preferred. It operates at a fixed 1000 V DC test voltage and can measure insulation resistances up to 2000 MΩ. Its analog needle movement gives a continuous, intuitive display of leakage trends. A built-in luminous LED backlight ensures the scale remains visible in dim lighting. It includes indicators for both live-circuit detection and battery condition, helping the user avoid unsafe measurement conditions. The instrument is ruggedized to survive drops from up to 1 meter onto concrete and features a hard case design that houses the test leads, allowing storage without disconnecting them. The measurement switch is ergonomically placed so it can be toggled or held for continuous readings. After testing, the device automatically discharges any residual voltage in the test object for safety.
