When deployed, the instrument delivers readings with a stable display and responds with a PASS/FAIL verdict in about 0.8 seconds, using visual and audible cues to assist quick decision-making. Its design includes rugged protection (able to survive a 1 m drop onto concrete), and a built-in LED backlight ensures readability in low-light conditions.
