Description

The DLRO2 is engineered to provide high-accuracy low-resistance measurements under challenging field conditions. It delivers a full 2 A DC test current for routine low-resistance checks and includes a dedicated “long-lead” mode which can drive up to 1 A into a 4 Ω loop—useful when cables are long or access is limited. A robust Noise-Rejection mode and a “Difference Meter” allow users to track changes relative to a baseline measurement and clearly visualise percent variation via a pointer display. Built for safety and rugged environments, the meter features active protection against inadvertent connections to up to 600 V without blowing a fuse, an IP54-rated enclosure for dust/water resistance, and safety ratings of CAT III 600 V / CAT IV 300 V. Typical measurement applications include contact resistance of joints or welds, bonding and lightning protection systems, railway switchgear, and other sub-milliohm inspections. With dimensions around 228 × 105 × 75 mm and a weight under 1 kg, it is genuinely portable for field inspection teams.

Features

  • Outputs up to 2 A DC test current for accurate low-resistance measurement.

  • Dedicated long-lead mode: drives up to 1 A into a 4 Ω loop, suited for long cables/test leads.

  • Noise-rejection scheme with a “Difference Meter” to compare results and highlight changes

  • Four-terminal (Kelvin) measurement technique and compensation for thermoelectric EMFs, enhancing accuracy on micro to milliohm ranges.

  • High safety robustness: active protection up to 600 V, IP54 environmental rating, CAT III 600 V / CAT IV 300 V safety classification.

  • Fast and repeatable field-testing tool – lightweight (<1 kg) and rugged enough for diverse industrial sites.

  • Resistance measurement range covering milliohms up to kilohms (e.g., ~0.015 Ω to ~2 kΩ) with typical accuracy ~±1%.

  • Suitable for a wide variety of jobs: contact resistance, switchgear joints, bonding, weld quality, lightning protection systems.
