Megger MIT1025/2 Advanced 10 kV insulation resistance testers
The MIT1025/2 is a high-end insulation resistance tester designed for industrial and utility-scale applications, offering selectable DC output voltages up to 10 kV and insulation measurements into the tens of tera-ohm range. It’s built for diagnostics, commissioning, and maintenance of high-voltage assets where precision, logging and safety are essential.
Description
The MIT1025/2 is engineered for rigorous insulation testing tasks—such as cables, switchgear, generators and motors—where conventional test sets won’t suffice. It provides test voltages of 500 V, 1 kV, 2.5 kV, 5 kV and 10 kV, plus user-defined voltages across the span for tailored testing. With a resistance measurement range from 10 kΩ up to 20 TΩ at 10 kV, it can accurately assess excellent insulation that would otherwise fly under less capable instruments. Diagnostic test modes include insulation resistance (IR), timed IR (IR (t)), polarization index (PI), dielectric absorption ratio (DAR), dielectric discharge (DD), ramp test, and polarization-depolarization current (PDC). The instrument features advanced modes such as RE>Act™, which compensates for re-absorption currents so the results truly reflect insulation condition. With built-in e.g., Bluetooth or USB interface, time-date stamped logging, and export to software, this tester supports asset-management workflows. The rugged dual-case design, high safety ratings (CAT IV 600 V at altitude) and IP-rating (closed lid) make it suitable for heavy-duty industrial environments.
