Megger MIT525/2 Advanced 5 kV insulation resistance testers

The MIT525/2 delivers professional-grade insulation resistance testing with capabilities designed for motors, cables, switchgear and other high-voltage assets. It provides selectable DC test voltages up to 5 000 V and supports resistance measurements into the teraohm range (up to approximately 10 TΩ). Diagnostic test modes include insulation resistance (IR), timed-IR, polarization index (PI), dielectric absorption ratio (DAR), dielectric discharge (DD), step voltage (SV) and ramp-voltage tests for advanced fault detection. Onboard memory with time/date stamping and a USB interface allow users to record results and transfer them to asset-management software. The unit supports both battery and mains operation, enabling continuous testing even if the internal battery is low. Safety and durability are emphasised with a dual-case rugged enclosure, IP65 rating (case closed), and terminals rated to CAT IV 600 V to support use in demanding industrial environments.
