Megger MOM690 Micro-Ohmmeter With On-Board Test Control
The MOM690 is a high‑current, microprocessor‑controlled micro‑ohmmeter that allows automatic range selection, on‑board test sequencing and data storage for precision low‑resistance testing of heavy electrical connections.
Description
The MOM690 is engineered for demanding contact‑resistance testing applications such as circuit breakers, busbars, and switchgear joints. Equipped with a high current output, the instrument features built‑in on‑board test control that lets the operator configure a full sequence of tests (including presets for current, duration, and measurement capture) and then execute them with minimal manual intervention. Automatic range handling means the device selects the optimal measurement range while continuously monitoring resistance during the test. Data can be stored internally and later exported to a PC for analysis and reporting. The built‑in AC current capability also allows it to demagnetize CTs or serve as a general multi‑purpose current source where needed. The rugged design and automated features make it suitable for both workshop and field environments where speed, repeatability and precision are required.
Features
-
High current capability combined with a microprocessor‑controlled measurement engine for consistent, accurate readings.
-
On‑board test control: ability to define and execute individual tests or entire test sequences automatically.
-
Automatic range selection and continuous resistance monitoring during the test process.
-
Internal storage of test results with optional PC export via software for further analysis.
-
AC output capability (in addition to DC) enabling functions such as CT demagnetization or use as a general‑purpose current source.
-
Four‑terminal (Kelvin) measurement technique to minimise lead and contact errors and deliver accurate low‑resistance readings.
