Megger MTR105 Rotating Machine Tester

The Megger MTR105 is engineered to provide a holistic view of motor health, integrating several testing capabilities into a single, user-friendly instrument. It offers a wide insulation resistance range from 100 Ω to 200 GΩ, supporting both single-phase and three-phase testing. The built-in temperature compensation feature automatically adjusts readings based on the measured temperature, ensuring high accuracy for insulation resistance and Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter (DLRO) tests. The DLRO function employs a four-wire Kelvin method, capable of measuring resistance from 1 mΩ up to 10 Ω, with selectable auto or manual test modes and bi-directional testing options. Additionally, the MTR105 can measure capacitance and inductance, and determine the motor’s direction of rotation and supply phase sequence, providing comprehensive diagnostic capabilities.

Designed for durability, the MTR105 features an over-molded case that provides increased protection and robustness, achieving an IP54 weatherproof rating. It is powered by six 1.5 V AA batteries, offering portability for field use. The device also includes a full-color graphic display with a user-configurable backlight, ensuring clear visibility in various lighting conditions. Data storage capabilities allow for up to 256 motor results, each with a time and date stamp, which can be conveniently downloaded to a USB device for analysis using Megger tools or other software.
