Megger S1-568/2 Expert 5 kV insulation resistance testers

The S1-568/2 Expert series offers a comprehensive toolset for insulation testing of cables, switchgear, transformers, motors, and other critical electrical assets. With selectable DC test voltages up to 5 000 V, it supports measurement of insulation resistance into the multi-teraohm range, making it suitable for verifying high-quality insulation systems. It incorporates an adaptive noise filter and 8 mA noise immunity to maintain stable readings in environments with significant interference. Key diagnostic modes include insulation resistance (IR), dielectric absorption ratio (DAR), polarization index (PI) (with PI Predictor™ acceleration), dielectric discharge (DD), step-voltage and ramp tests, and polarization/depolarization current (PDC) capability when used with compatible software. The unit features remote control via Bluetooth® or USB, enabling the operator to conduct tests from a safe distance—ideal for arc-flash or high-voltage zones. Designed with safety and durability in mind, it has a rugged dual-case housing, CAT IV/CAT III high-voltage rated terminals, and supports operation from either internal battery or AC mains supply.
