Extech 461895 Combination Contact/Photo Tachometer

This model handles contact mode measurements from approximately 0.5 rpm up to about 20,000 rpm, and non-contact photo mode measurements from approximately 5 rpm up to nearly 100,000 rpm. It also includes a surface-speed measurement mode for linear speeds (ft/min or m/min) using wheel attachments. The instrument is built with a quartz-crystal time base and microprocessor, delivering accuracy around ±0.05 % of reading. The display is a large five-digit LCD that suppresses leading zeros and flips orientation depending on mode so readings remain easily readable. The non-contact mode uses visible light and works up to about 6 inches (~150 mm) from the target. The unit comes with accessories including reflective tape for photo mode, contact tips, wheel for surface speed, batteries and carrying case. It is targeted at maintenance, production, and inspection tasks where both contact and non-contact measurements are required, but where the extended distance of a laser is not necessary.
