The VIR50 is an advanced handheld video infrared thermometer that incorporates dual-laser targeting, built-in color camera, large LCD and datalogging/image capture features — designed to measure very high temperatures and record visual/thermal data in one unit.
Description
This instrument offers infrared (IR) temperature measurement from about –58 °F to +3,992 °F (–50 °C to +2,200 °C) with a spot-to-distance ratio of 50:1 – which means it can measure a 1″ target from about 50″ away using its dual lasers, which converge to indicate the correct distance/target-spot size. It also includes a built-in VGA (640×480) color camera and a 2.2″ (2.2 inch) color TFT LCD display for previewing and capturing images or video of the target scene. A microSD card is used for capturing JPEG images and 3GP videos to document thermal anomalies and visual data for later analysis. The instrument supports a Type-K thermocouple input, measures ambient air temperature and relative humidity, and has adjustable emissivity to account for different surface types. Additional features include MAX/MIN/AVG/DIF functions, high/low alarms, trigger lock, USB interface for PC connection, and rechargeable battery. With its combined capabilities, the VIR50 is suited for industrial inspection, electrical diagnostics, building thermography, HVAC systems, and high-temperature process monitoring.
