Hioki PD3129-10 Phase Detector

The PD3129-10 enables safe and fast phase determination without exposing live conductors. You simply clip its insulated, non-metallic sensors around the individual phase wires (within 7 mm to 40 mm diameter). It then uses static induction sensing to detect voltage and determine which way the phase order is flowing. In a correct (positive) sequence, the arrow indicator lights up, LEDs flash in clockwise order, and the buzzer chirps intermittently; in reverse sequence, LEDs flash counterclockwise and a continuous tone is sounded. It also has a live line check: when clips are applied, it confirms that voltage is present before sequence detection. The unit turns off automatically if idle for 15 minutes, supports operation for many hours on two AA batteries, and features magnets on the back so it can be affixed to metal panels for hands-free use. Safety is built in: it’s rated for high measurement categories, allowing it to be used in industrial environments with confidence.
