Description

The LR8512 is a small wireless pulse logger built for capturing, counting, and integrating pulse signals in many environments. It supports two input channels sharing a common ground. Each channel can sense pulses via a mechanical contact, an open collector, or voltage input (up to ~50 V). It can record cumulative pulses, instantaneous pulse rate or revolution speed (depending on pulses per revolution), and logical ON/OFF signals. The device stores up to about 500,000 data points per channel; even if wireless communications drop, data logging continues uninterrupted. It supports selectable recording intervals (from tenths of seconds up to minutes), allowing for both detailed and long-term logging. Power can be supplied via AA batteries (2 units), via an AC adapter, or via external DC supply. With Bluetooth enabled, live or post-measurement data can be transferred to apps or logging stations. The enclosure is compact and lightweight, making it easy to install in tight or hard-to-access locations. There are features such as alarms, scaling of input signals, prevention of erroneous operation, comment annotations, and power-saving modes to conserve battery.

Features

  • Two input channels (common ground) capable of measuring pulse totalization, revolution counting, and logic (ON/OFF) signals.
  • Input formats supported: mechanical contacts, open-collector, or DC voltage up to ~50 V.
  • Large storage: ~500,000 data points per channel; data preserved even when wireless link is interrupted.
  • Flexible recording intervals: from 0.1 s to 30 s, or from 1 min to 60 min (various selectable intervals).
  • Multiple power options: two AA batteries, AC adapter, or external DC supply (5-13.5 V).
  • Wireless (Bluetooth) communication for data download, monitoring, or use with a logging station; real-time capability when used with compatible multipoint logger.
  • Compact dimensions and modest weight, suitable for installation in restricted spaces.
  • Long operating time on battery when logging with moderate intervals and wireless off; shorter battery life when logging extremely frequently or when Bluetooth always on.
  • Functions such as alarm setting, scaling of input pulses, holds for recording operation, prevention of accidental operation, and annotation of recorded data.
  • Ability to be integrated into multi-logger arrangements (up to several units together) under a master logging station for synchronized or distributed monitoring.
