Description

The MOM600A is specifically engineered for field use in high‑voltage substations and industrial plants where contact resistance of critical connections must be kept very low to avoid overheating and failure. It delivers a DC output from 0 to 600 A and is capable of measuring resistances down to the micro‑ohm range (0–1,999 µΩ) with a resolution of 1 µΩ.
Its compact, rugged design features a robust transport case, flexible heavy‑duty current cables and separate sensing cables for four‑terminal (Kelvin) measurement, enabling accurate results in challenging environments from arctic cold to tropical heat.
For example, when performing a test at 600 A output the instrument supports a maximum load period followed by a rest time to avoid overheating, with required mains input and power consumption designed for industrial power supplies. In short, the MOM600A allows technicians to verify the integrity of contacts in switch‑gear, isolators, bus‑bars and other high‑current links before failure, thereby supporting preventive maintenance and reliability of heavy electrical installations.
