Hioki PD3129 Phase Detector

The PD3129 is a handheld device designed for safe and reliable phase sequence testing in three-phase power systems. You simply clip its insulated, non-metallic voltage sensors onto the individual phase conductors (within specified diameter limits). The device then uses static induction detection to sense voltages and determine the phase order: in a normal sequence (positive), LEDs blink clockwise and a green arrow illuminates with intermittent beeps; if reversed, the LEDs blink counterclockwise and a continuous tone is heard. It also includes a live line check feature to confirm that voltage is present before performing sequence detection. The unit uses two AA batteries, has an auto power-off after around 15 minutes of inactivity, and includes magnets on the back so it can be affixed to metal panels for hands-free work. It is built to safety standards for industrial environments.
