Megger DLRO10 Digital Low Resistance Micro-Ohmmeters
The Megger DLRO10 is a precision four-terminal (Kelvin) micro-ohmmeter designed to measure extremely low resistances—from micro-ohms up to kilo-ohms—with a high test current capability (up to 10 A). It is ideally suited for verifying contact resistance in joints, welds, switchgear, busbars, windings and other critical electrical connections.
Description
The DLRO10 brings high-accuracy low resistance measurement into a portable form factor. It uses a built-in test current source (up to 10 A DC) and a dual-sense Kelvin measurement technique to minimise errors from wiring and lead resistance. The instrument features automatic current reversal to cancel thermoelectric EMFs and selectable ranges covering extremely low values (e.g., 0.1 µΩ resolution) through to higher values (up to around 2 kΩ depending on model). A large, bright display ensures clear readability in various lighting conditions. The unit is protected against live voltage up to ~600 V without blowing fuses, enhancing robustness in field conditions. It supports multiple test modes such as normal, auto, continuous and inductive-load modes for testing motors and busbars. Whether in the workshop, on site or in production-line use, the DLRO10 provides reliable, repeatable low-resistance measurements, helping detect problems like high contact resistance, weak welds, degraded bus-bar joints and rolling-contact bearings.
Features
- High test current capability up to 10 A DC enables high-resolution measurement of very low resistances.
- Extremely wide measurement range (from approximately 0.1 µΩ to 2 kΩ) with selectable ranges for micro-ohm to kilo-ohm applications.
- Automatic current reversal eliminates thermoelectric EMF errors, with multiple test modes including auto, continuous, and inductive options.
- Robust safety protection with live-voltage detection and input protection up to 600 V ensures safe operation in demanding environments.
